The Archaeological Museum Of Heraklion houses the most important and representative finds of the Minoan civilization. Initially the museum was created in 1904.

The exhibits have been categorized by era, from the Neolithic period up to the Roman and secondary by region that the items were discovered.

At your visit in the Museum, do not miss the opportunity to see the “Goddess of the Ofi snakes”, the Rock-crystal rhyton, the rhyton in the shape of a bull's head, The "Bull-leaping" fresco from the palace of Knossos, the Phaistos Disk and the statue of Aphorodite from the Roman Era, which was found in the region of Gortyna.
